Abstract

Transport share on Prajen- 16 Ilir Palembang routes, the days had an increasing trend and this had an impact on the smooth road transport services on the routes who often experience congestion and other impacts of the high volume of traffic is also weighted and saturated on the transport network road in Terminal Plaju. Achievement an alternative to the idea of utilizing the cross-river transport of Prajen Musi Banyuasin to 16 Ilir Palembang (CBD) are needed to be justified scientifically about the prospects for the future, to examine the Characteristics of the transport system with benchmarks Travel Time Ratio (TTR) and the Travel Cost Ratio (TCR). Having studied scientifically than the number of road traffic public transport in 2015, with a sample of 1-2 percent were done by 15 surveyors Travel time ratio (TTR) between public transportation by water bus That TCR found equal to 2.06 times or 206 percent so boat bus water is shorter time for its trip. Travel Cost Ratio (TCR) between Road public transportation by boat bus water to come by 1.14 times more expensive . Travel Time Services Ratio between road public transportation and waterbus, that water bus are 3 times better than road transport or saving three times.As scientific explains that cross-river transport better than if its was compared to roads . With a fairly simple method of study and utilize the data as well as the opportunities that exist, should be able to help the government to provide a solution for the transport of traffic from and to the CBD 16 Ilir Palembang to Prajen / mariana region.
