Abstract

ABSTRAK ZAMRULLAH ICHSAN “TINJAUAN PERLENGKAPAN ALAT KESELAMATAN JIWA PADA KMP. PAPUYU YANG BEROPERASI DI LINTASAN ULEE LHEUE – LAMTENG” Dibimbing Oleh Ferdinand Pusriansyah, S.SiT., S.H., M.Si Purboyo, S.Pd., M.Si Banda Aceh merupakan kotamadya dan ibukota dari provinsi Aceh, provinsi paling Utara di pulau Sumatera, Indonesia. Di kota Banda Aceh ini terdapat salah satu Pelabuhan penyeberangan dengan lintasan Ulee Lheue – Lamteng yang dilayari oleh sebuah kapal yaitu KMP. Papuyu. terdapat perlengkapan alat keselamatan jiwa yang belum sesuai dengan aturan terkait kondisi dan jumlahnya berupa sekoci, life jacket, life buoy, dan life raft lalu dilakukanlah upaya pemecahan masalah pada perlengkapan alat keselamatan tersebut. Pengumpulan data inventaris perlengkapan alat keselamatan jiwa ini dilakukan dengan cara mengobservasi langsung di KMP. Papuyu itu sendiri sehingga diperoleh informasi yang jelas terkait dengan kondisi maupun jumlah perlengakapan keselamatan jiwa yang belum memenuhi aturan. Hasil survei di KMP. Papuyu menunjukan bahwa perlengakapan alat keselamatan jiwa seperti life jacket, life buoy, sekoci dan life raft dengan keadaan dan jumlahnya perlu dilakukan pengecekan dan perawatan. Pemilik perlu melakukan penambahan jumlah terhadap life jacket, life buoy, sekoci dan life raft nakhoda kapal perlu membuat jadwal pengecekan dan perawatan terhadap perlengkapan keselamatan jiwa. Karena jika kondisi dan jumlah peralatan keselamatan jiwa sudah sesuai dengan aturan maka jika ketika terjadi kecelakaan dapat mengurangi resiko banyaknya korban jiwa.
